Tuesday:  6pm Backyard Yoga group, contact for details

Wednesday: 

10:30am Chair Yoga, Soleo, Cedar Park, members only

Meet Winnie

Winnie is an Austinite, a rare unicorn in the area. She did yoga stretches and some Ayurvedic habits as a child living in Austin in the 1970s. Growing up she danced for Ballet Austin but it was mandatory ballet training due to a birth defect, hip dysplasia. A college ballet teacher asked Winnie to teach her yoga classes, this was the nudge she needed to step into the front of class. After a break to raise children, Winnie took the 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Certification course through, YogaYoga 2012-2013. Since then, yoga study has become an obsession turning into passionate teaching. Winnie has her 500 hour certification in Hatha Yoga, 200 hour

certification in Kundalini Yoga, accreditations in Restorative with Judith Lassater, Sound Therapy Level 1 & 2, specialties in Pranayama and Meditation, Chair Yoga, and Gong Yoga.

Current studies include: Herbal Medicine through the American Botanical Society in Austin, Co-

Heart Teacher training with Anodea Judith, and Level 2 Kundalini Yoga with Flow Yoga Austin.

Winnie loves to learn and share the many facets of Yoga. Leading students to a sense of calm, accomplishment and self-love. Everything can be processed and solved with a little lying on the floor, deep breathing, and vibrational tones. When not teaching her regularly scheduled

classes, Winnie leads workshops in Alignment, Chakra Clearing, Chakra Balancing, Sound for Relaxation, Kundalini Yoga for Beginners and Meditation. Away from Yoga, Winnie is cuddled up with her 4 cats, children, gardening, swimming, and movement to stillness and gratitude.
