Get To Know Winnie

Winnie Alexander is an Austinite; a rare unicorn, yet, had the honor and privilege
to move to the Oregon valley summer 2025.
Over the last 20 years, Winnie has studied hard and much to earn her ERYT500,
500IKTA, ERYT200; Certified in Hatha, Kundalini, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Aerial
Yoga, Buti Yoga, Face Yoga, Yoga for Sobriety, Sacred Centers with Anodea Judith,
Acupressure for Brain Health, Trauma Yoga with Veterans Yoga Project, Mudra
Therapy, Gong Yoga, Sound Therapy Level 1 & 2, and is a Vibrational Sound
Practitioner.
She created the 200 hour Heart Centered Yoga Teacher Training – blending Hatha
and Kundalini Yogas with accessibility and inclusion, Heart Centered Yoga School,
and Sound Therapy Level One training with Energetics and Ritual. Winnie is
comfortable and confident leading wide arrays of students and teachers, from
exploring basic Asana to aspiring teachers investigating the Yoga
Sutras. She radiates equal parts Yogic philosophy, humor, and whole hearted
living. Registered with Yoga Alliance as both a school and Continuing Education
provider.
Beyond Yoga, Winnie loves Mindful Movement and supporting communities.
Under the Fitness umbrella, she has acquired certificates in Barre, Barre Pilates,
Human Reformer, Pumped Up Strength, and TRX.
Created the Non Profit: Library Yoga. Teaches at her local community library and
the Willamette Valley. Library Yoga is a community-centered nonprofit designed
to make yoga accessible, welcoming, and free (or very low-cost) for people of all
backgrounds—especially those who might not feel comfortable or able to attend
traditional yoga or fitness studios. At its core, Library Yoga partners with public
libraries or similar quiet spaces to transform familiar, trusted community spaces
into calm, inclusive environments for wellness and movement.
As you can see, Winnie is passionate about a multitude of things under the
umbrella of mindfulness, healthy habits, keeping up to date with scientific studies
around the aging body, mind, and nervous system regulations.
